Furscience

Furscience is the public face of the International Anthropomorphic Research Project (IARP): a multidisciplinary team of researchers who study the furry fandom and share evidence-based findings with furries, the public, academics, and the media - helping increase understanding and reduce stigma.

You’ll find Furscience at their lobby stand in the Clarion Hotel, where you can meet the team, ask questions, and learn more about the fandom through real research. They collect data at conventions through surveys and sometimes interviews, then analyze and compare results (often with other fandoms or the general population), and bring what they learn back to the community in talks and published research.

During the convention, Furscience will be running their on-site survey, and visitors can interact with the team to win prizes and discover fun, factual insights about the fandom along the way. They will also host a panel highlighting findings gathered during NordicFuzzCon, alongside broader takeaways from their convention research - a great chance to see what the data says about furries and the community we build at cons.
